The new side bar menu all on the side right of the screen in Windows 8 tablet UI is a great feature to quickly move, share, and connect with a click. If you are on Windows 7, you can now get the side menu in Windows 7 as well.

A member of devinatart, vhanla, has developed a small application that mimics the new side Windows 7 menu. When you run the application, add a new home page with date and time on the screen. Move the mouse cursor to the right of the screen to access the side menu.

The application also adds to the Windows application switcher 8 tablet UI style. The application switcher, however, does not work well now as it is an alpha version.

How to use this:

# Download and run the application for the new lock screen.

# Left-click on the lock screen and drag it to the top (slide up from the bottom of the screen) to see the all new home page with live tiles.

Please note that the application is still in alpha stage. Compatible with versions x 86 and x 64 Windows 7.
